Course Description: Ivy Tech Community College offers instructor-led OSHA 30-hour safety training for General Industry, available in-person. This course covers the Occupational Safety and Health Act and workplace safety protocols, ideal for site leads, supervisors, engineers, safety specialists, and project managers.

Learning Objectives: 

• Understand the history and purpose of OSHA and the OSH Act.
• Comprehend the General Duty Clause.
• Learn how OSHA inspections and penalties are conducted and assessed.
• Familiarize with OSHA standards on Walking and Working Surfaces, Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Protection, Electrical Safety, and other selected topics.
