About Us
Sgt. Preston's of the North has been a friendly face in downtown Lafayette since 1980, when he and his trusty pal Yukon King first washed up on the shores of the Wabash River. After leaving his post in the Canadian Mount, he journeyed down to devote more time to his true passion - enjoying a good meal and a strong drink!
With just a quick glance at the historic John Purdue Building, the Sarge knew he had found his new home. Nestled in the original bricks from John Purdue's kiln, it didn't take the Sarge long to fill the inside with strong reminders of home. From his stained glass mountain scenes to his mounted hunting prizes, the true spirit of the Canadian forest shines bright throughout the building.
Our goal at Sgt. Preston's is to provide you with the same sense of family and fulfillment the Sarge himself set out to achieve. Welcome!
