Ophthalmic Technician - MEC

UNITY SEEKS
An Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Magnante Eye Care, a practice division of Unity Healthcare. 
Our ideal Candidate will have excellent organizational skills, excellent patient care skills, communication and computer skills, and front office skills. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task. Candidate must have the willingness to perform vision and diagnostics tests and assist with minor surgical procedures.
In addition, the ideal candidate must be willing to help with front office duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and registering patients.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Ophthalmology or Optometry experience required
  • 1 + Years of Medical Experience preferred
  • Instructing patients about medications, tests and procedures
  • Performing vision and diagnostic tests
  • Assisting with patient procedures
  • Coordinating patient scheduling
  • Allscripts PM/EMR knowledge is a plus!
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certification(s): JCAHPO certification preferred
