UNITY SEEKS
A Director of Operations to join our team at Unity Healthcare, LLC. The Director of Operations reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for leading the planning, organization, and management of all functions of operating the facilities of Unity Healthcare, LLC and its divisions. 
This position has accountability for all aspects of facility functions, including, but not limited to: preparing facilities budgets and monitoring expenditures; responding to emergencies; managing risk; implementing policies and safety procedures; engaging with vendors and contractors; negotiating agreements; collaborating with practices on space needs; coordinating remodeling projects; and exploring sustainability options on campus, as well as, coordinating relocations, testing equipment, and ensuring compliance regarding all Federal, State and Local Governmental Regulations including environmental affairs. Familiarity with working in healthcare facilities is strongly preferred.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four (4) year degree in business administration or facilities management, or the equivalent education, training and/or experience.
  • Seven years of managerial and people leadership experience in facilities management. Demonstrated ability to manage professionals in a team setting in a complex evolving work environment and broad knowledge of business/organization functions. Healthcare facilities experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to work effectively within every level of Unity. Ability to communicate the written and spoken word with tact, diplomacy, and authority as appropriate. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse constituencies.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of standards and codes applicable to health care facilities, SDS information, Life Safety Code, NFPA, OSHA, and ADA requirements/specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook.
  • Problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated management and organizational skills - disciplined, driven to meet deadlines, able to work under pressure of many priorities and deadlines. The ability to set schedules, maintain budgets, and exercise time management.
  • Good negotiating skills.
  • Licenses/Certifications – Facilities Management Professional (FMP) or Certified Facility Manager (CFM) a plus.

  • Overseeing contractors
  • Handling security and cleaning
  • Providing site support
  • Coordinating routine maintenance and repairs
  • Scheduling renovations
  • Managing waste disposal
  • Budgeting and estimating costs
  • Designing and planning facilities layout
  • Training staff on safety procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and laws
