A Chief Operating Officer to join our team at Unity Healthcare!

Our ideal Chief Operating Officer is a seasoned operational leader that is confident managing in a physician owned environment with proven success in a healthcare setting with growth, strategy, and overall operations. This person works with other departments to ensure the accomplishment of the organization’s goals. At all times, this position supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for administrative functions, including Compliance, Operations, IT, Quality, Facilities, Marketing, Risk Management, Safety, and Physician Practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across all departments, streamlining processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness while adhering to accreditation standards.
  • Oversee legal compliance and regulatory adherence, mitigating risks and safeguarding company interests.
  • Review existing Policies and Contracts, as well as develop and implement new ones as needed.
  • Oversee all audits, both external and internal, making recommendations to the Board about changes based on results.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, cultivating strong relationships with department heads and staff across all levels.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in healthcare administration, recommending and implementing strategic adjustments as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, management, finance or related field is required.
  • Minimum of four years leadership experience role in a health system and/or multi-specialty group practice.
  • Strong PC skills, specifically Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Works well in a face-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize their workload and multi-task effectively.
