Description
About one in three of the nation’s population has a criminal record. Many more are part of the substance use recovery community. For a large portion of these Americans, that poses a significant obstacle to employment. And there’s an opportunity cost for employers, who are unable to utilize the talents of 70 million qualified job seekers.
Now, businesses in a wide range of industries have created programs that give these individuals a chance at gainful employment. Companies that adopt inclusive hiring practices gain a competitive edge and create positive change in their communities.
Join us to learn how you can embrace a second-chance workforce and the advantages associated with doing so. Both employers and individuals who have benefitted from second-chance programs will speak at the event.
Greater Lafayette Commerce encourages both member and non-member employers to attend.
When people are given a second chance to participate in the workforce, we are all greater.
