Description
Have a great story to tell, but aren’t sure how to elevate that message?
This experiential workshop from Purdue's Brian Lamb School of Communication will help you position your ideas, events, causes, or expertise to draw media coverage and broader public interest. You’ll learn how to think like a journalist – amplifying your reach, clarifying your message, and ensuring that story engages your target audience. What makes a great story pitch? How can we tell our story visually? What does it feel like to do a live interview? How do you approach crisis communication? Which new platforms or technologies will work best for your goals?
This free event begins with a panel discussion (5:00-5:45 p.m. | STEW 202) followed by a “meet and greet” with the panelists. It then proceeds with three breakout session options. Attendees choose two of the three, with the first breakout from 6:15-7:00 p.m. and second 7:15-8:00 p.m. Pizza will be served. Detailed session and schedule information are available via this RSVP link above.
